KD Road is Kandy and Chad Howard, a husband-and-wife Texas-country duo from North Texas. Their sound brings together modern outlaw country, Southern-rock muscle, blues-based soul and the unmistakable chemistry of two people who have lived the stories they sing.
Kandy’s soulful, twang-edged voice leads the way. Chad adds road-worn guitar, a lower-country duet vocal and a love for the kind of songs that still mean something after the last note fades.
What the name means
K represents Kandy. D connects Chad’s middle name, Dewayne, with Kandy’s father, Duane. Road represents the life they have survived together and the musical road still ahead.
The mission
KD Road tells the truth about love, failure, faith, redemption and refusing to quit on the dream. The goal is not simply to release songs. It is to create music, conversations and live moments that leave people entertained, encouraged and reminded that their story is not over.
